ReplyDeleteThey do very, very slowly. Whenever possible, have your hand wrapped around the part that is not doubled, compared with only one or two fingers. Increased surface means less effort at any given time. Be prepared for the bath and double several times before reaching the desired setting.

It is something that we learn and can learn even less, just because someone tells you how. I saw some people who work in optical stores to 6 months or more, and still not as it should.
ReplyDeletePlastic frames are difficult to adjust. It depends entirely on what is wrong with them.
Savings will hurt you or a broken part that opens up even more and go into an optician's shop and let them.
Put in hot water is the worst thing you can do ... each person has indicated he has no idea.
